Let us remind the Russian and Belarusian parties still haven’t signed the required documents for the construction of the NPP. The Russian side insists on the establishment of a joint venture, which would be engaged in the exploitation of the station, in turn, Belarus offers Russia to build additional third unit, the income from which would come to the Russian side.

"As far as academic cycles are concerned, there are no any suppositions that the construction won’t take place. On the contrary, we have prepared a proposal for the formation of the union programs, because scientists believe that we do not have any other reliable partner but Russia, "- Vladimir Nedilko the SCCT Deputy Chairman said during a press conference organized in the framework of the press tour for the Russian and Belarusian journalists.

B. Nedilko reminded that in order to determine the builder a tender was organized, the third country’s companies were invited, but they have not submitted applications. "So we have only one partner. What is the core of the problem I can not clarify, unfortunately, we need those who possess accurate information ", - he added.

In turn, Sergei Rakhmanov the vice-chairman of the Belarus National Academy of Sciences noted that since the scientific support of the project is delegated to the Institute for Nuclear Research situated in Sosny village – this institute is submitted to the Academy of Sciences - the program originally was focused on the Russian project. "If any questions arise, they are more of a financial character, and not of any other, so it is necessary to discuss the issues of cost parameters and so on. These issues are currently under discussion ", - he concluded.
