A MAZ 103586 arrived at Sochi from Minsk under its own power for tests. It is quite likely that this is the model which will be used to transport participants and visitors at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

On 11 September 2013 the Youth Innovation Centre in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Hi-Tech Park of the Belarusian National Technical University, Politekhnik held ‘Investor Demo Day’ – the annual final stage of the Youth Innovation Centre project aimed at commercialisation of innovative developments by young Russian and Belarusian researchers.
A Union State programme ‘Development of space and ground- based systems to supply remote Earth sensing data to customers in Russia and Belarus’ (Monitoring - SG) is being introduced.

The UN will host a workshop on Space Technology Applications for Socio-Economic Benefits at the Belarus State University between 11 and 15 November. The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs organises a series of workshops and other events on relevant themes in different countries every year. Minsk was chosen for this workshop after taking into account the Belarusian achievements in space research.
The world’s biggest dump truck, the BelAZ-75710, has been built at the Belarusian automobile engineering company. This giant with a weight of 810 tonnes can carry 450 tonnes!
