As is reported by Sergey Shukhno, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, the initiative to issue a Union youth newspaper belongs to the Parliamentary Assembly Committee on social policy, culture and humanitarian issues.

According to him, the ways to implement the corresponding decision taken by the Committee on social policy, culture and humanitarian issues are being carefully examined at the moment. “An insert in the newspaper “Soyuznoe veche” is just one of the alternatives,” noted Sergey Shukhno. At the same time, according to the Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, the exact date of the newspaper’s issue has not been defined yet, the more so because the sum for its existence hasn’t been built into the budget-2009.

As Viktor Vodolatsky, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly Committee on social policy, culture and humanitarian issues, noted, this newspaper could summarize the work of, let us say, youth leaders in a certain period. Besides that, believes V.Vodolatsky, this youth newspaper could become a mouthpiece of young peoples’ opinions. However, until this newspaper has been issued, the views of young Belarusian and Russian activists will be reported to the public via the newspaper “Soyuznoe veche”.
