"In the framework of international military cooperation, the military authorities of Belarus and Russia are the most active in the sphere. The cooperation mainly concerns the purchase of firearms, components, spare parts, equipment and equipment for aeronautical engineering and communications engineering, repair and modernization of aircraft, equipment and air defense, electronic warfare equipment, mutual supply of components for production, repair and modernization of armaments and military equipment ", - as was noted in the Defense Ministry.

In addition, options are being developed on mutual upgrade system for anti-aircraft missile systems, aircraft and other defense technology. In recent years several bilateral normative and legal acts have been signed. A number of draft agreements for the supply, repair and modernization of IWT are under development, which are to be signed soon.

The most successful military products within the united air defense system of the CIS and the CSTO are optical and opto-electronic equipment, special technical means of communication and jamming, etc.

The military-technical cooperation in the CIS is also developing rapidly.

The heads of the Governments of CIS approved a program of military-technical cooperation - a fundamental long-term document that formalizes the procedure for interaction of the CIS countries in this sphere. The program does not only identify the main objectives, goals, directions and priorities of military-technical cooperation, but also outlines a set of measures the implementation of which will enable the participating countries to make rational use of combined economic and military-technical potential in order to strengthen its defense capability.
