Oleg Morozov: Development of relations between Belarus and other partner-states does not and will not affect Russia

That was reported by the Councilor of Russia and Union State of Ministry of foreign affairs of Belarus Oleg Morzov at the 12th Minsk forum “Belarus and East partnership: prospects for development in the sphere of politics, economy and community”.

That was reported by the Councilor of Russia and Union State of Ministry of foreign affairs of Belarus Oleg Morzov at the 12th Minsk forum “Belarus and East partnership: prospects for development in the sphere of politics, economy and community”.

According to him priorities of foreign policy of Belarus have always been and remain her neighbors, and among them are Russia, Ukraine and European Union.

“Being an inseparable part of European continent and peace and progress supporter, Belarus gradually puts into action the idea of good neighborliness”, - said Oleg Morozov. Successful development of Belarusian and Russian relations does not mean that Belarus is dependant on only one country. On the contrary it depends on the nature and quality of relations between both Belarus and United Europe.

According to Mr. Morozov this is natural when Belarus, Russia and European Union have common interests, among those are economy, power economy, transport, simplification of visa regime, illegal migration prevention, human traffic and the whole range of other spheres of cooperation.

Belarus today conducts a balanced policy that is subject to its own pragmatic interests that includes both partnership with Russia and cooperation with Europe. It is also important that, according to the Councilor of Russia and Union State of Ministry of Foreign Affairs f Belarus, that Belarus has always been and remain the supporter of the Idea of Big Europe without any separate lines and barriers.

Developing relations with members of international community, Belarus is guided by three key principles: equality, mutual respect and economic efficiency.
