The National Bank and the Central Bank agreed on joined national cards’ payment system usage

The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation agreed on joint use of plastic cards of national payment systems on the territory of the Union State.

The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation agreed on joint use of plastic cards of national payment systems on the territory of the Union State.

"We fully agreed with the Central Bank of Russia and are working in this direction. We are working in the scope of Central Bank as well as follow the line of the biggest commercial banks. We will work actively with the Savings Bank (Sberbank of Russia - www.soyuz.by) to have common cards on the territory of the Union State ", - said Peter Prokopovich.

During the session of the Interbank Currency Council in Moscow in September 2009 NBRB and CBR discussed the possibility of creating conditions of mutual acceptance in the two countries' bank cards of the Belarusian domestic payment system “BelKart" and of the leading Russian systems.
