Union State Secretary Pavel Borodin sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of theoretical and practical conference called “60 years of Belarusian and Russian hydrometeorological service participation in World Weather Station activity”, which is taking place in Ratomka on April 16th in 2008.

Union State Secretary Pavel Borodin sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of theoretical and practical conference called “60 years of Belarusian and Russian hydrometeorological service participation in World Weather Station activity”, which is taking place in Ratomka on April 16th in 2008.

“WMO activity is widely known and authoritative all over the world. It is pleasure to point out that hydrometeorologies of Russia and Belarus has made a great contribution to its formation and today are successfully working together over a big and multi-aspect work on the international level”, - said P.Borodin.

According to his words the second election of Alexander Ivanovich Bedritski, the head of Rosgidromet, as WMO Chairman is indubitable acknowledgement of their significant service and high-level qualification.

“Union State pays enormous attention to keep hydrometeorological provisions up to date and increase their efficiency. We are pleased with the success achieved during the course of Union state scientific and technical programms realization in this sphere. What concerns the most difficult problems that our nature provides, further accumulation of combined efforts of our states and the whole world community is needed for sustainable development of all economic sectors and man security”, - pointed out State Secretary.

He also sincerely wished the conference participants and all meteorologists of Belarus and Russia fruitful work, good health and common excellent weather.
