Presidents of Belarus and Russia Had a Telephone Conversation

On the initiative of the Russian party, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev had a telephone conversation.

On the initiative of the Russian party, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev had a telephone conversation.

During this conversation the Heads of states discussed pressing problems and prospects of Belarusian-Russian relations as well as a range of international problems. The parties have come to an agreement about the continuation of the dialogue within the framework of CSTO Collective Security Council which is scheduled to take place on September 5th, 2008.

We would remind you that the summit meeting of CIS Collective Security Treaty Organization (which is formed by Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) is to take place in Moscow on September 5th. During the summit member countries are to discuss the existing situation in the Caucasus.
