Alexander Lukashenko signed an agreement on exercising transport control at the external border of the Union State

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree № 365 “On holding negotiations on draft international treaty, its signing and provisional application”.

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree № 365 “On holding negotiations on draft international treaty, its signing and provisional application”.

As a basis for negotiations the Decree has approved a draft Agreement between the Governments of Belarus and Russia on exercising transport (motor-car) control at the external border of the Union State.

Transport and Communications Minister Ivan Shcherbo has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft Agreement and its signing when reaching an accommodation within the project approved.

As provided by the Decree, the Agreement will be applied provisionally starting from the date of signing until its entry into force.
