In an exclusive interview with the Information Analysis Portal of the Union State Valeri Prozorovski, member of the Parliamentary Assembly Committee on Security, Safety and Crime Control, said that some essential points in draft Constitutional Act of the Union State hadn’t been prepared so far. In his opinion, the issues of authority demarcation among different government bodies haven’t been worked through yet.

Valeri Prozorovski believes that one of the possible reasons for such a long discussion of the Constitutional Act is the desire of drafters to make it “a document for centuries to come”.

“I think everybody remembers that USSR Constitution was changing rather often. Although I am not a devotee of our transatlantic friends, I think it should be like in the USA – the Constitution was adopted once and for centuries to come, and then, depending on the situation, it can be perfected with some amendments,” noted Valeri Prozorovski.
