Pavel Borodin: Time showed the efficiency of Union programmes

Addressing the third Forum of Union Programmes which took place in Moscow on October 21st, State Secretary of the Union State Pavel Borodin said that time had shown the efficiency of the Union programmes. According to him, the programmes implemented prove that the Union budgetary funds are spent on up-to-date innovation projects, on real integration deeds which are of real benefit to the Union State. “At present, the budget of the Union State 12 times exceeds the CIS budget, 18 times CSTO budget and is 20 times as much in comparison with EurAsEC,” noted the State Secretary. “Union budget can be increased 2 or 3 or even more times, but we need production programmes”. “The reason for that is the structure of bilateral trade between Belarus and Russia. It is composed not only of oil and gas, but also of machine building and instrument making production as well as of agricultural machinery,” said Pavel Borodin. At the same time he paid special attention to the fact that disregard of industrial relations between Belarusian and Russian enterprises is inadmissible”. The more so because the Union State creates unique conditions for pooling all the resources in order to implement breakthrough projects in every sphere. In the State Secretary’s opinion, these are agriculture and agricultural engineering as well as the implementation of the project on diesel machine building which should be supplemented with pit-run machinery construction. According to Pavel Borodin, as far as Russia is the core customer of Belarusian dump trucks, the appearance of a corresponding union programme would be logical.
